Welcome to Pippins Preschool!

At Pippins Preschool we aim to make everyone feel welcome and provide a caring, happy and secure setting supporting the development, learning and care of your child.

We will work towards the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), and guide your child on their way to his/her successful transition to school. All children are welcome and we accept children from 2 years 6 months old up to 5 years old, and our waiting list is arranged with special needs and date of birth being our priority.

  • You may use Early Years Education Funding for your child at Pippins from the term after they turn 3 years old. This is a maximum of 15 funded hours per week provided there are places available.
  • Please contact us for current fees for children without 2 year old funding or for additional hours above the 15 funded hours.
  • We are an approved setting for 2 year old funding; children may attend for up to 15 funded hours per week.
  • We are open from 9am-3pm, which can be used as a 3 hour session from 9am-12pm / 12-3pm or a complete 6 hour session.

At Pippins we benefit from two large play rooms, and a kitchen, along with two secure and private outside play areas with sand pits, a sensory area, a climbing bridge, a covered pavilion, seating areas, plus much, much more.

Pippins is proud to be managed by an elected voluntary committee, ensuring major decision making is in the hands of our elected parents.

Fundraising Events

Government funding and hourly fees only partially cover the cost of running our setting. We therefore rely on fundraising to provide the best possible environment for our children. This means we can bring visitors into the setting, can ensure resources and learning materials are kept up-to-date, and can offer our staff additional training above and beyond the minimum required level.
